Key takeaways

  • A MAG box is a set-top box made only for IPTV, controlled with a simple remote.
  • It uses a portal URL instead of an app and a username.
  • Your subscription is linked to the MAC address printed under the box.
  • Setup takes about five minutes once we have your MAC address.
  • A wired internet connection gives MAG boxes the most stable picture.

A MAG box is a small set-top box built only for IPTV: you plug it into your TV and router, enter a portal URL, and watch with the remote like a cable box. There are no apps to install, which makes it a good choice for anyone who wants the simplest possible setup.

How is a MAG box different from a streaming stick?

A MAG box connects to IPTV through a portal URL linked to its MAC address, while a streaming stick uses player apps and a login.

What do you need before you start?

You need the box connected to your TV and router, plus its MAC address.

  • Connect the box to the TV with HDMI and to the router with an Ethernet cable if possible.
  • Find the MAC address on the sticker under the box — it starts with 00:1A:79.
  • Have WhatsApp ready to send us the MAC address.

You link the box by sending us its MAC address; we connect it to your subscription and reply with your portal URL.

How do you add the portal URL?

You add the portal URL in the box's server settings, then restart the portal:

  1. Turn on the box and wait for the main screen.
  2. Press SETUP on the remote, or go to Settings → System settings → Servers → Portals.
  3. In “Portal 1 name”, type a name such as Stream Services.
  4. In “Portal 1 URL”, type the portal URL we sent you, checking every character.
  5. Press OK to save, then choose “Restart portal” or switch the box off and on.

The first load can take one or two minutes while the channels and TV guide arrive.

How do you fix common MAG box errors?

Most MAG errors come from a mismatched MAC address, a wrong HDMI input or a weak connection:
